We are pleased to present a brief report on the progress of Current Challenges in Thoracic Surgery (CCTS) in 2021. Some of the highlights include:
- CCTS has formed an internationalized editorial board of 130 members from 16 countries.
- It has 43 articles published in 2021 and has 11 series exploring trending topics (7 completed and 4 ongoing).
- Website pageviews has continued to increase, reaching 49,785 in 2021, and the website users has almost doubled the number every year from 2019 to 2021, reaching 17,831 in 2021, according to data of Google Analytics.
We appreciate very much the enthusiastic support and contributions from the editorial board members, guest editors, authors, reviewers and readers and look forward to their continued support and joint efforts to promote knowledge and research on current challenges, controversial issues and unresolved situations of thoracic surgery.
