Dr Tsilimigras is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He received his MD degree (summa cum laude) from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece in 2017. He has been trained in various Thoracic Surgery departments in both Europe (Department of Thoracic Surgery, St James’s University Hospital, Leeds, UK, Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College, London, UK and Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, University College London Hospitals (UCLH), London, UK) and the USA (Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Lankenau Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA, USA)

Dr Tsilimigras’ clinical interests include Thoracic Surgery and Surgical Oncology. His research is mainly focused on clinical outcomes following thoracic surgery and surgical oncology as well as the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques in Surgery. He has published more than 180 peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Annals of Surgery, JAMA Surgery, Annals of Thoracic Surgery, Circulation and others. His work has been cited more than 800 times. He has served as a Reviewer for more than 15 scientific journals.
