Gregor J. Kocher received his medical degree from the University of Zurich, Switzerland in 2005 and is a Swiss Board Certified surgeon for General Surgery as well as for Thoracic Surgery. He acts as a Lecturer for Thoracic Surgery (PD) and Doctoral Supervisor at the University of Bern, Switzerland. Furthermore he is currently in the position of Deputy Head of the Thoracic Surgical Department at Bern University Hospital (since January 2016).
In addition, he has recently successfully completed an international MBA program with focus on international healthcare management (IHM) and is a Member of the European Board of Thoracic Surgeons (MEBTS).
While covering the whole spectrum of general thoracic surgery, his main interests lie within the field of minimally invasive surgery - particularly daVinci robotic assisted procedures as well as uniportal and subxiphoidal VATS procedures including NIVATS (non-intubated VATS) techniques.
