Tomohiro Murakawa, MD, PhD

Dr. Murakawa is now the Professor and the Chairman of the Department of Thoracic Surgery at the Kansai Medical University, Osaka, Japan. He received his MD degree from the University of Tokyo School of Medicine in 1992, and completed his residency at the University of Tokyo Hospital and at its affiliated hospitals. He received his PhD from the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Medicine in 2002. He also finished his research fellowship in the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Colorado, USA (2003-2005).

Dr. Murakawa focuses his interest in Thoracic Oncology and Minimally Invasive Surgery. He is Member of Japanese Association for Thoracic Surgery (JATS), Japanese Association for Chest Surgery (JACS), Japan Lung Cancer Society (JLCS), Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS), European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS), International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC), American Society of Transplantation (AST), International Thymic Malignancy Interest Group (ITMIG), etc.
