Masaki Anraku, MD

Dr. Anraku is a board-certified general thoracic and lung transplant surgeon. He has completed a residency program at the Tochigi Cancer Center, followed by clinical thoracic and lung transplant fellowships at the University of Toronto, Canada. Dr. Anraku’s current practice includes surgical treatment of thoracic malignancies (lung cancer, thymic tumors, malignant pleural mesothelioma, chest wall tumors, and mediastinal tumors), pneumothorax, and organ-replacement therapy of the lungs. He is competent to perform a video-assisted thoracic surgery.
His current research interests include developing artificial lungs for bridging to recovery or lung transplantation. He is a member of the Japanese Association for Chest Surgery, American Association for Thoracic Surgery, Society for Thoracic Surgeons, American Society for Artificial Internal Organs, etc.
